A message from EDC about COVID-19
Over the past few decades, many countries and communities have confronted significant educational, health, and social crises—and made it through, together. These lessons are critical now as the world confronts the challenges and disruptions being caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This page contains links to EDC resources and ideas for parents and teachers that have been contributed by EDC staff around the world. We will continue to update this page over the next few months.
Audio Learning Resources
EDC is a leader in the design, development, and dissemination of interactive audio instruction programs (IAI). Our programs have reached over 100 million learners across 24 countries, and we have trained hundreds of thousands of teachers and facilitators in their use. Learning outcomes have been excellent.

EDC’s Catalog of Programs
EDC's catalog of IAI programs is available to be repurposed for use during this COVID-19 crisis. Programs are available in a variety of languages including English, Spanish, French, Malagasy, Chichewa, Bamanankan, Songhai, Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, and Somali. They cover a range of content: literacy, math, social studies, science, foreign and second language instruction, and life skills. All content is aligned to standards and best practices and was validated by ministries of education at the time the programs were developed.
Available to donors and host country governments during this time of crisis, these programs can be repurposed with minimal investment and broadcast via radio.
